Ramos Reserva 2020
João Portugal Ramos is Portugal’s most famous winemaker. Before he began making his own wines, he was a pioneering wine consultant widely considered Portugal’s Pierro Antinori or Emile Peynaud (The New York Times). His Ramos Reserva comes from the Alentejo region in southeastern Portugal, along the border with Spain. It is a blend of Aragonez (aka Tempranillo), Trincadeira, and Syrah.
'Partial wood aging has polished this wine, softening the juicy black fruits and adding a touch of smokiness. The wine is finely textured with ripe tannins and spice.' - Wine Enthusiast - 91 points
