citrus with texture and complexity added from aging in oak. The oaking is mild to express the freshness of the fruit.  The aging potential, we believe that our wine improves with age and will drink at its best after a year or two of being in the bottle. The aging potential is up to 5 years.

The Chardonnay will pair well with grilled fish and chicken dishes. It will also pair well with seafood such as salmon and tuna as well as lighter pork dishes.

All the grapes came from a block on our farm, Klein Welmoed in Stellenbosch. All the vineyards are trellised. All grapes are harvested by hand in individual bins in optimal conditions to ensure true quality from beginning to end. In the Cellar, they were whole bunch pressed and the resulting wine was naturally fermented in French oak
barrels of which 28% was new wood. The wine spent 9 months in the barrel before bottling. 100% of the wine was fermented and aged in barrels.
